CÚRAM – Closing the Gender Care Gap in Europe’s Workplaces
The CÚRAM project aims to close the gender care gap in workplaces across Europe.
The CÚRAM project aims to close the gender care gap in workplaces across Europe. By increasing awareness and understanding among employers, HR professionals, and business leaders, we aim to promote equitable dual-career, dual-carer policies in line with the EU Work-Life Balance Directive.
The CÚRAM project provides practical tools and resources to help businesses create family-friendly, flexible working environments that support employees with caregiving responsibilities. Through tailored training programmes, capacity-building workshops, and awareness-raising resources, the project aims to empower companies to implement policies that foster work-life balance, gender equality, and employee well-being.
Across Europe, many employees struggle to balance work and caregiving responsibilities. The CÚRAM project helps organisations respond with practical tools, training, and strategies that make a difference
This report examines national and EU-level policies related to work-life balance, parental leave, and caregiving responsibilities. It maps current employer practices and identifies gaps in policy implementation, acting as a foundation for advocacy and employer engagement.
This training programme targets HR professionals, business leaders, and managers to enhance their understanding of the gender care gap. Additionally, it includes workshops, case studies, and a Handbook for HR Managers, aiming to equip businesses with practical strategies to promote equal caregiving responsibilities in the workplace.
The CÚRAM Equality Awareness Toolkit features a variety of resources, including infographics, posters, and employee guides. These resources aim to raise awareness of gender equality in caregiving, while helping employers and HR professionals educate staff on their rights, work-life balance entitlements, and the benefits of a more inclusive workplace.
